Journeyman certificate awards
On November 5, 2003 the guitar builder David Sundberg received his Journeyman certificate in the guitar builder profession for the journeyman work he concluded on December 20, 2002. David is the second guitar builder throughout history in Sweden who has received the grade 5.0 and a big medal for his journeyman work. Jens Johansson is the name of the other builder who also has accomplished this. Today, Jens builds string instruments in Japan. Visit his home page at www.jensgjohansson.com.

Guitar people prize 2003 determined
This year's edition of the Guitar people prize has occurred. In the category “long and faithful service”, Jojje Wadenius brought home the prize, a Martin guitar. Lisa Miskovsky won the category “young and promising”. The prize in this category was a guitar made by David Sundberg. Both winners also received a “headstock” manufactured by David Sundberg.
